Mr. Amit Paliwal
Programme Director
Amit brings with him more than 2 decades of progressive and wide-ranging experience in various aspects of health systems strengthening, social health insurance, health communications and human resources for health. He has a Masters in Hospital Administration and a M.Phil in Health Systems Management, along with various short courses in quality management, communications, management, and capacity building. In addition to the technical expertise, he also has led various GIZ and USAID funded projects in India, Bangladesh, Cambodia and Kyrgyzstan, along with leading OD exercises for major corporate houses in UAE and India.
Before moving on to more strategic and program management functions, he was an avid practitioner and trainer in the areas of Quality Management and Human Resources for Health, being one of the pioneers in Facilitated Quality Improvement and Systemic Quality Improvement approaches of GIZ, and has also served as the spokesperson for the GIZ Regional Sector Network for SE Asia and Eastern Europe. To add to this he also has many research papers in areas of HRH and QM in health.
Being a firm believer and practitioner of Simon Sinek’s Infinite Mindset approach, Amit enjoys learning and updating his people management skills. Apart from work, Amit also enjoys travelling and going for really long drives and indulging in English fiction once in a while.

Dr. Keerti Jain Gupta

Dr. Keerti is a public health professional with 9 years of experience in decentralised planning, project cycle management, capacity building, and implementation of multi-state projects. Since her early years, she is captivated by the field of medicine. She is a proficient Dental Surgeon but while practising she realised promotion of health, prevention of disease, and empowerment of individuals will positively impact the lives of millions of people around the world and thus went on to pursue Master’s in Public Health Management. She has worked with the Government, National, International NGO, Development Partners with a multitude of vulnerable communities ranging from communities hard hit by TB -HIV to Street Children. She has led numerous assignments on development issues related to health, nutrition, WASH, in both urban and rural areas in various states. She has also mentored team in conceptualization and implementation of innovative solutions to address the challenges faced by the public health supply chain. In her previous organization, she was involved in array of activities such as advocating with government, program planning, designing, and undertaking research and training, technically supporting development of monitoring tools, developing, and designing interactive content for training, and facilitating capacity building sessions. She is also a recipient of best performer of the year Award for her exemplary performance and leadership skills. In her free time, Keerti likes to watch cricket, travel with her family, and indulge herself in painting and sketching.

Kaustubh is coming with more than 13 years of experience in private and public sector and has worked as a consultant with large private entities and consulting firms. In his professional journey, he has gained extensive experience in collaborating with government bodies at the state and central levels, providing vital technical assistance and guidance. He has overseen end-to-end project management, ensuring the dissemination of essential information and the enhancement of resource capabilities, in private and public sector. Furthermore, he has worked extensively in Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) projects, hospital strategies and operational efficiencies. He has also worked closely with the National Health Authority (NHA) in the Hospital Operations division, where he played a pivotal role in operationalizing hospitals in states which were not covered under the AB PM-JAY scheme and government-owned hospitals.

Nikhil is currently working as an Administrative Assistant with the project. He started his career as an intern with the project. Nikhil is a skilled and dedicated professional who is always yearning to learn. He is recognised within the team for his hard working and loyal attitude and proven acumen. Nikhil holds a Master’s degree in MBA Finance from University of Delhi and has completed his under graduation in commerce from University of Delhi.
When not working for the project, Nikhil loves to explore the unexplored places and spending his time outdoors in sports activities.

Ms. Poonam Bansal

Originally from the capital city, Delhi, Poonam has always been driven by passion to make a difference. She is a graduate with more than 10 years of rich experience and still eager to learn and know more. Her professional experience ranges from consumer delight, administration, event, contracts, etc. which has prepared her well to perform in situations of chaos. Poonam has been with GIZ for over 3 years. Like her city, she is always bustling with infectious energy which keeps the entire team in high spirits. Known for her responsible nature, she is a go-getter and is very supportive when it comes to work and helping other team members. Her hobbies include traveling and exploring new destinations and closely observing different cultures.

Originally from the beautiful valley of Kashmir, Shefali has been working and living in Delhi for almost two decades. Known for her versatility, Shefali can don many hats when it comes to work requirement. She has wide experience in working with corporate, private, and Non-profit sector. She is known to be a responsible team member and a very diligent one at that. She is dedicated and committed to her work and ensures that all tasks assigned to her are accomplished with high accuracy. She is very spirited and lively with a compassionate heart. She believes that her strong principles in life have always been her guiding light. Shefali admires nature and has a bent towards spirituality. She is proud to be associated with GIZ GmBH for last 9 years and looks forward to longer innings!

Nandini is an experienced Health Care Professional with nearly 10 years of experience. Since childhood, she remained fascinated by the field of medicine. She is a qualified dental surgeon and an alumnus of International Institute of Health Management Research, New Delhi. After completing her graduation and working as a dental surgeon, she yearned to work in a much wider area of healthcare where she could harness the understanding of health sciences and increase the reach to a larger sector of society. She has worked across a wide range of organizations including consulting firms, govt. organizations and hospitals and has had the opportunity to interact with clinicians and allied healthcare professionals, administrators, patients, and industry experts. The vast experience allows her to appreciate the significance of each stakeholder and component of the healthcare system in totality. Her area of expertise includes stakeholder liaising and management, process improvement, content development and conceptualization and quality assurance. The integrity, dedication to her work and ability to work across teams, has earned her various awards and recognition, in her past organizations. She lives with her family in Gurgaon and when time permits, enjoys spending time with friends, reading, and travelling.

Tuba has completed her Bachelors in Sociology and hold a Master’s degree in International Relations, Law and Business along with a specialization in Human Rights and International Development. Prior to this, she worked with the project as an intern for 6 months. Her areas of interest include public policy and sustainable development with an emphasis on social protection in the South-Asian region.
Tuba’s high integrity and commitment towards her work speaks for itself and she is always looking for new opportunities to grow and expand her knowledge. In her free time, Tuba likes to indulge in photography. To escape the hustle, she relies on good food and long drives.
