Empowering Healthcare Stakeholders: Insights from GIZ India's IGUHC Workshop on Public Health and Universal Health Coverage at ASCI, Hyderabad.

GIZ India’s Indo German Programme on Universal Health Coverage (IGUHC) orchestrated a transformative three-day training workshop held at the prestigious Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), situated at the serene Bella Vista campus in Hyderabad, spanning from the 26th to the 28th of February 2024.

This intensive workshop was meticulously crafted with the overarching objective of furnishing attendees with a profound comprehension of India’s intricate public health system, with particular emphasis on elucidating the framework of the National Health Mission (NHM).
Under the dynamic stewardship of Mr. Amit Paliwal, the Programme Director of GIZ-IGUHC, the workshop witnessed an invigorating exchange of ideas and insights, empowering participants through his engaging session. The esteemed team from ASCI Hyderabad demonstrated commendable prowess in orchestrating the workshop, exhibiting meticulous planning and seamless execution at every juncture.

Delving into a spectrum of pivotal themes, the workshop spanned topics ranging from the evolutionary trajectory of the Public Health system to the nuanced intricacies of financial management, organizational structure, and the overarching concept of Universal Health Coverage (UHC). Participants were presented with a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of the pivotal role data-driven decision-making plays in shaping effective healthcare strategies.
Furthermore, the program sought to augment participants’ capacity in comprehending the intricacies of Monitoring and Evaluation, underscoring the imperative of leveraging data as a potent tool for program assessment and refinement. Through interactive sessions and practical exercises, attendees were equipped with the requisite skills to harness data effectively, thereby bolstering their efficacy in program monitoring and evaluation endeavours.
