Convergence
Convergence
Having gained extensive experience in the realm of social health protections through IGSSP, our vision is to foster greater synergy among diverse schemes and programs. It has become evident that many schemes and programs operate independently, leading to fragmentation, often resulting in redundancy, inefficiency, and ultimately hampering service delivery.
Through close collaboration with the National Health Authority, IGUHC has effectively supported efforts to achieve convergence while implementing the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY). The PM-JAY platform is distinctive and adaptable, offering opportunities for integration not only with other central government schemes but also with various state government initiatives. PM-JAY has already taken proactive steps in this direction by establishing partnerships with central government agencies like Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), facilitating the sharing of hospitals and extending services to each other’s beneficiaries.
Numerous state government schemes have already been seamlessly integrated with PM-JAY, benefiting from standardized criteria for hospital affiliation, established protocols for medical audits, rigorous quality benchmarks, streamlined provider payment methods, transparent pricing structures for services, advanced IT systems, robust fraud prevention measures, and comprehensive monitoring parameters, among other aspects. This strategic alignment ensures a more cohesive and efficient approach to delivering healthcare services.
