IGSSP initiated the GIZ Professional Programme in order to enhance the capacities of the state implementing agencies.

Under the Programme, IGSSP selects, trains and mentors consultants to work with state governments to implement RSBY and other state health protection schemes. They serve as a critical link between the central government and the programme implementers in the states.
