India’s national health insurance scheme Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) launched by the Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE) of the Government of India.
The objective of RSBY is to protect beneficiaries against catastrophic health expenses and impoverishment by providing free and cashless hospitalisation coverage. The scheme also aims to improve access to healthcare, both in public and private facilities.
