NEWS: GIZ India’s IGUHC Organizes the First 3-Day ‘Training of Trainers’ Workshop for the State Health Authorities in Collaboration with the National Health Authority (NHA) and National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW)
In August 2023, GIZ India’s Indo German Programme on Universal Health Coverage (IGUHC) proudly collaborated with the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW), New Delhi, and the National Health Authority (NHA) to orchestrate a highly successful 3-day ‘Training of Trainers’ workshop, a significant milestone under the Ayushman Bharat #PMJAY scheme.
This workshop convened distinguished participants representing State Health Authorities from regions including Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh. The gathering was an opportunity for these professionals to deepen their understanding and acquire profound insights into the intricacies of the #PMJAY scheme.

The inaugural day of the training program covered a diverse array of essential topics, ranging from the Beneficiary Identification System (BIS) to the Transaction Management System, providing a comprehensive overview of the #PMJAY scheme. Additionally, participants delved into subjects such as Standard Treatment Guidelines (STGs) and Claim Adjudication & Audit procedures. These enlightening sessions were skillfully conducted by esteemed representatives from the National Health Authority (NHA), ensuring that the participants received the highest quality of training.
Culminating as a resounding success, the 3-day ‘Training of Trainers’ workshop concluded with the active contributions from the National Health Authority (NHA) and the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW), New Delhi. This carefully curated cohort from the Northern states and UTs now stands as the inaugural group of ‘Master Trainers’. Their role is pivotal as they take on the responsibility of disseminating their acquired knowledge and insights within their respective regions, becoming torchbearers in nurturing capacities to navigate the intricate facets of the Ayushman Bharat #PMJAY scheme.
