NEWS: PM-JAY North East Regional workshop held in Shillong
May 23-24, 2022: Ayushman Sangam for the year 2022 further continued with North East Zone states-Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
North-eastern Regional Review Meeting was conducted in Shillong, Meghalaya from 23rd to 24th May 2022. Primary objective of this exercise was to provide effective platforms for all states in NE region to provide update about PM-JAY scheme implementation and also brainstorm on critical aspects of these schemes. The meeting was also helpful in knowledge sharing, reflecting past learnings, present best practises and discuss unique challenges faced by states of NE region. This platform also provided opportunity to these states to discuss critical points of scheme implementation directly with key officials from NHA.
The review meetings also included discussions on establishing an institutional structure for the rollout of ABDM. Additionally, the meeting participants also deliberated on new initiatives for implementation of both AB PM-JAY and ABDM
The two day event was attended by PM-JAY and ABDM officials of NE states as well as key officials from the National Health Authority.
