NEWS: GIZ India and IIM Indore organise a two-day conference on issues, challenges, and advancements in managing the global pandemic
April 16-17, 2022: IIM Indore, in association with GIZ, organized a two-day online conference on ‘COVID 19: Learnings & Implications for Management’ on April 16-17, 2022. Theconference offered a diverse forum for academicians, practitioners, industrialists, and students to discuss the issues, challenges, and advancements in managing the global pandemic. The conference was inaugurated online by Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore, and Mr. Amit Paliwal, Program Director, GIZ India, on April 16, 2022. Prof. Mit Vachhrajani, Conference Convenor and Faculty, IIM Indore and Prof. Pritam Ranjan, Dean – Research, IIM Indore; Prof. Abhishek Mishra, Faculty, IIM Indore; Prof. Subin Sudhir, Chair – Executive Education, IIM Indore; and Prof. Sushant Mishra; Faculty, IIM Bangalore were also present.
Industry Guest Speaker, Mr. Madhav Kalyan, MD & CEO, JP Morgan Chase Bank India, also interacted with the participants.
The highlight of the first day was an insightful and interactive panel discussion on the topic ‘Challenges faced by educators during COVID19’. The panelists included academicians from all four directions of the nation. Prof. Subin Sudhir, Chair – Executive Education and Faculty, IIM Indore represented the central and the western region; Prof. Richa Saxena, Faculty, IMT Ghaziabad, shared her views from northern India; Prof. Manish Kumar from IIM Ranchi brought some insights from eastern India and Prof. Amol Subhash Dhaigude, Faculty, TA Pai Management Institute shared his experience representing southern India.
The panel discussion concluded with a Q&A session. During the valedictory session, Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore, announced the top three Best Paper Awards.
