In June 2023, the GIZ India’s Indo German Programme on Universal Health Coverage (IGUHC) project facilitated a visit by Dr. Philipp Ackermann, the esteemed German Ambassador to India and Bhutan, to the renowned Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh.
During his visit, Dr. Ackermann engaged with a diverse group, including leading academics, researchers, health economists, senior officials, and beneficiaries of the programme. He also had the opportunity to witness firsthand the state-of-the-art IT system of AB PM-JAY, which facilitated a seamless, cashless, and paperless process throughout the entire treatment journey.
