India’s National Health Policy 2017 outlines the government’s objective to progressively achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC). The Indo-German Social Security Programme (IGSSP) has been working with the Ministry Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW) and with selected state governments to provide policy advice and implementation support in the areas of health insurance and convergence of social security programmes for nearly a decade.
